What is Consigned PCB Assembly?

Consigned PCB assembly refers to a processing mode where the customer provides all of the electronic components themselves, while the manufacturer is responsible for the production and assembly of the circuit boards. Compared to the complete turnkey service, this approach enables the customer to make full use of existing inventory or special components, while still enjoying professional PCB assembly services.

After the customer sends us the existing materials, our factory will be responsible for the entire process from soldering, testing to functional testing and packaging. This processing can effectively save costs, and the customer maintains full control over the key materials.

Partial Consigned PCB Assembly

This processing model involves the customer providing some components, while the rest are provided by PCBasic. The components provided by PCBasic are all sourced from authorized and traceable channels. If you can only provide some of the materials, or if you wish us to purchase certain high-quality components with special certifications for you, then this model is perfectly suitable for you.

Requirements for Consigned Components

To ensure the smooth progress of the consigned PCB assembly process, all the components provided by the customer need to meet the following basic requirements:

    Packaging: The components should be clearly labeled and packaged with anti-static measures to prevent damage.

    Quantity: Please provide an additional 2% - 5% of spare parts for each type of component to compensate for possible losses during the production preparation stage.

    Labels: Each component must clearly indicate the part number, value, and reference designator, and be consistent with the BOM list.

    Documentation: Please provide a complete BOM (Material List) and Placement List, and ensure they are consistent with the PCB design files.

    Storage conditions: For moisture-sensitive or special components, use vacuum-sealed packaging and attach a humidity indicator card.

After receiving the materials, PCBasic will inspect, register all the incoming materials from customers, and store them in the anti-static (ESD) area.
