A solid rectangular shape was found in the GKO or mechanical layer, which makes it unclear whether it represents a slot or simply a keep-out copper area.
Normally, slots should be drawn as hollow outlines, not filled rectangles. The solid shape may cause confusion during CAM review. Please confirm whether this area should be milled as a slot or ignored as a keep-out zone.
• If the solid rectangle is intended to be a slot, please redraw it as a hollow frame in the GKO or mechanical layer for clarity.
• If it is only a copper keep-out area, please remove it from the GKO layer and use a separate proper outline layer instead.
For keep-out zones, you can simply leave the area blank—PCBasic will follow the copper layers exactly and will not add copper where it is not defined.
This clarification helps PCBasic ensure accurate interpretation of your mechanical data and avoid fabrication errors.
