Non-Plated Holes Overlapping with Traces – Risk of Open Circuit

Reason for Failed Review:

In your design, some non-plated holes (NPTH) are placed directly on copper traces.

During drilling, these holes will cut through the traces, leading to open circuits or signal interruptions on the finished PCB.

PCBasic Suggestions:

•  When creating or revising your design, please ensure that no non-plated holes are positioned on copper traces.

•  If these holes are required for mechanical purposes, move them slightly away from the traces to maintain electrical continuity and safe spacing.

Following this rule helps PCBasic ensure proper drilling, electrical integrity, and long-term board reliability.
