Edge connectors are used to establish electrical connections through the gold fingers located at the edge of a PCB. When your circuit design includes gold fingers, please select “Yes” for this option and specify the surface finish method and bevel angle required. If your PCB does not contain gold fingers, please select “No.”
Edge chamfering is the process of creating a smooth, angled transition along the edge of a PCB to ensure that the gold fingers can be easily inserted into edge connectors of other boards or devices. This step enhances mechanical stability and contact reliability during repeated insertions.
