Are there any design requirements for PCB when using SMT assembly?

You can refer to the following requirements:

1. When the number of PCBs exceeds 20 and the size of each PCB is less than 50mm × 50mm, we recommend that you assemble them into one panel. If you choose to assemble them, please design positioning holes around the outer frame and edge guides.

2. Maximum panel size: It is recommended to keep within the dimensions of 460mm (length) × 320mm (width).

3. If any component is close to the edge of the PCB and the distance is less than 3mm, please add at least 3mm of edge rails in the design to prevent the fixture or conveyor belt from damaging the component.

4. If the size of a single PCB is larger than 150mm × 150mm, or the total number of solder joints exceeds 200, it can be directly mounted as a single board without the need for assembly of multiple boards.

5. At least two global fiducial marks should be added on the assembly board and each individual PCB to enable the surface mount machine to perform optical positioning and automatic calibration.
