Who Is Responsible for Customs Duties in My Country? | PCBasic

As PCBasic manufactures all PCBs in our facilities located in Shenzhen, China, we ship internationally to customers around the world. Since customs policies vary by country, some customs authorities may impose duties or taxes on imported PCBs. If this occurs, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay. In many regions, such duties may be waived or exempted.

The recipient acts as the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of China may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by local authorities once the shipment arrives in the destination country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be covered by the recipient. PCBasic has no control over these fees and cannot predict their amount.

Because customs policies differ across countries, we recommend contacting your local customs office for more details. Please note that customs clearance procedures may sometimes cause delays beyond the estimated delivery time.

Note:

Some customs offices may require the importer of record to provide specific identification information before releasing a shipment. This could include a Unique Identification Number, CPF, or Tax ID.

Countries/regions requiring such identification may include Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, India, Israel, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, and Turkey.
